In an upcoming webinar, MassLive Media Group plans to offer insight into the decision-making process of cannabis consumers in Massachusetts.
The webinar, titled “Understanding the Massachusetts Cannabis Consumer,” is offered in partnership with Drive Research and starts at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Registration is free and online.
Massachusetts is dotted with cannabis dispensaries, growing from just two that opened in November 2018, the first to offer recreational cannabis on the East Coast. Now, consumers have dozens of retail options from Boston to the Berkshires. The webinar will present research on consumers’ decisions making and what is behind those decisions.
This is the second time MassLive is presenting such market research. The webinar will show year-over-year trends in cannabis consumer behavior, comparing the results of a 2020 study.
Seven in ten respondents use cannabis recreationally, according to survey results. Compared to the 2020 study, edibles surpassed smoking as the most common method of consuming cannabis.
Price has emerged as the No. 1 factor that Massachusetts cannabis consumers consider when deciding where to shop, and research showed an 8% increase in this factor since the 2020 survey.
Tuesday’s webinar will include a question and answer segment.
