Cannabis businesses across New England are set to gather virtually in less than a month for an event that includes panel discussions, industry updates and networking.

Cannabis Insider Live New England is set for Nov. 10. Registration is already underway for the three-hour event and tickets are available for those interested in learning more about cannabis in the region and discussing best business practices within the industry.

Cannabis Insider Live is a year-round set of conferences and webinars that provides networking opportunities and information into the billion-dollar marijuana industry including for medical and adult uses.

The New England targeted event will take place on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Early bird tickets specials are available through Oct. 15

The virtual conference will include several guest speakers and seminar discussions to help current businesses thrive and entrepreneurs succeed.

Those attending the event can expect the following from the conference.

Panel Topics

Breaking down barriers: Black and Brown professionals succeeding in cannabis

MassLive reporter Melissa Hanson will lead the discussion that will examine what’s working within the industry regarding social equity programs from people of color and where the industry can improve.

People of color experience unique challenges within the industry. This panel hopes to explain why as well as provide possible solutions.

Security in the Cannabis Space

Cannabis retailers have similar security protocols including several checkpoints to present identifications. Any windows must be frosted or covered so the public can’t see inside. Cameras are also a mainstay, but security within the industry goes much further.

This panel will dive deeper into securing a business including questions of cybersecurity within the cannabis industry.

Navigating the financial business of cannabis

Banking can be a confusing hurdle within the industry as cannabis remains illegal at a federal level.

This panel will tackle the complexities surrounding banking regulations to ensure businesses can secure a strong financial footing.

The panel plans to cover topics including the importance of insuring not only a business but cash flow, the risks associated with both and how insurance can alleviate some of those risks.

Panelists will also discuss tax deductibility, asset protection and long-term financial and risk management benefits.
