LAS CRUCES – The city is hosting its second town hall meeting on potential cannabis zoning and retail sales at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at Council Chambers, in City Hall, 700 N. Main St.
Other planned public meetings within council chambers on the topic:
- 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16: City Council regular meeting, anticipated first reading of proposed ordinance related to recreational cannabis.
- 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7: City Councilor regular meeting, anticipated final consideration of proposed ordinance related to recreational cannabis.
The public may sign up to speak before the council meeting or contact their city councilor.
Also, members of the public can take a survey that closes at midnight on Aug. 15. Information for the survey, which is in English and Spanish, may be found at www.las-cruces.org/Cannabis.
