Garvin County marijuana grow operation busted, 2,600 plants seized

Garvin County deputies and agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs seized 2,600 marijuana plants and made three arrests, the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office said today.Sheriff Jim Mullett said his county has nearly 200 medical marijuana grow operations, and his department teams up with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics to conduct compliance checks. Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics received intelligence that the operation in Garvin County, which Mullett said is not being named because of an ongoing investigation, had been selling and buying marijuana without registering with the state or obtaining a grow license. Deputies and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents served a search warrant and found the operation not in compliance with state law, Mullett said. Agents and deputies seized the plants and arrested three men. They face several felonies and lesser charges.
